This project demolishes all fuel system infrastructure at DFSP Yorktown. This project reduces the DoD logistics footprint following the transfer of JP-8 storage tank capacity from DFSP Yorktown to DFSP Craney Island. This project supports the SECDEF and CNO initiatives to reduce DoD logistics footprint and also supports the CNRMA Logistics Regional Shore Infrastructure Plan (RSIP). This project will demolish the following fuel-related facilities at the Yorktown Fuel Terminal: Storage Tanks: Excavate, remove bunkered fuel storage tanks and tank-top pump buildings, and fill tank voids with on-site soil where possible. Fuel Vaults: Remove valve vault equipment, demolish, and backfill fuel vaults Above Grade Piping: Remove all fuel facility above grade fuel piping, pier fuel piping, water piping at pier, and existing electrical service. Below Grade Piping: Remove all fuel facility below grade fuel piping, cap and fill below grade piping routed through Coast Guard Base. Utilities: Remove other (water, electrical, etc.) underground utilities Buildings/structures: Remove miscellaneous fuel system related buildings and structures. A hazardous material evaluation and report has been completed, which identifies special handling and disposal guidelines that will be required. $5-10 Million *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
