For supplying all labor and materials necessary for the proposed EWP Project Group #4 Improvements work (described here under) to be carried out with funding from National Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) and supplemental funds from the Adams County. Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi Law and have a Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors. The project consists of slope stabilization, construction of earthen berms, construction of Timber Retaining Walls, slope grading, and constructing grouted rip rap ditches. All works shall be carried out as per Standard Specification for State Aid Road and Bridge Construction of the Mississippi Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration. The entire project must be completed within 60 calendar days and the liquidated damages will be $200 per consecutive calendar day past the approved completion date. Bids will be mailed through first class mail on the second working day after receiving the payment. Such security to be forfeited as liquidated damages, not penalty, by any bidder who fails to carry out the terms of the bid, execute contract and post-performance bond in the form and amount within the specified time. All requirements under the program that are imposed on the Adams County (as the Grantee) by NRCS (the Grantor) are applicable to this project and the Contractor shall abide by all requirements as those required by the Grantee. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities. Bids on the Project must be received on or before the period scheduled for the Project and no bid can be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the Project for a period of sixty (60) days.
