The work includes all labor, equipment, and materials to complete in every detail of the work indicated on the plans and specifications. Specifically, all work incidental thereto Wildwood Park Mountain Bike Trails, Skills Park, and Pump Track including, but not limited to, demolition, earthwork, construction, drainage, paving improvements, and plantings. If applicable, each proposal shall be accompanied by a bid bond executed by a corporate security licensed to do so under North Carolina law, of an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal, or in lieu thereof, a bidder may offer a certified check on a bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. Each bidders deposit, except for the bidder to whom the contract is awarded, shall be returned after the contract awarded. The City shall retain the bid deposit of the bidder to whom the contract is awarded if the bidder fails to execute the contract within ten days after the award. To whom the contract is awarded, a Performance and Payment Bond will be required for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of 60 days after the bid date.
