West Park is a sports park that was developed in the early 1980s and serves as a major destination in south Keswick, in the municipality of Georgina, for both residents and visitors. West Park includes lit and unlit baseball diamonds, unlit soccer fields, a playground and parking. The park is bordered by Lake Drive to the west, Ravenshoe Road to the south, and regenerated woodland and wetland to the east and north (site). Approximately three hectares of the park is regulated by the Lake Simcoe Conservation Authority (LSRCA) due to its proximity to a provincially significant wetland, its location on a highly vulnerable aquifer and poorly draining soil conditions. The four (4) baseball diamonds and fencing are reaching the end of their useful life, and combined with the need to bring them into compliance with applicable safety standards, are due for repair and replacement. Therefore, The Corporation of the Town of Georgina (Town) is seeking bid submissions from qualified vendors (respondents) to repair and replace the four (4) baseball diamonds' backstops and fencing where required, bringing them into compliance with all applicable safety standards (work).
