This project involves construction of the 57th Avenue Bridge between Main Street and East River Road. The project will be funded by state sources, with anticipated design and construction management services provided by the City. The City is working with Anoka County to develop an associated maintenance arrangement upon completion of the project. This project is consistent with the City's comprehensive plan and Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Master plan, and Anoka County's East River Road corridor plan. Preliminary design and right-of-way acquisition has been funded by the Fridley Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA). As of December 20, 2022, this project is currently in the City of Fridley FY 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). Funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for construction FY 2025. A firm timeline has not been established; however, construction is scheduled for Fiscal Year 2025. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
