Construction of new pedestrian crossing with HAWK Signal at the McDowell Creek Greenway Phase II, Danas Branch crossing with Westmoreland Road. The purpose of this project is to install a new pedestrian hybrid beacon traffic control signal at a new midblock pedestrian crossing on Westmoreland Road (SR 2147) approximately 535 feet east of its intersection with Lake Pines Drive/Amberwood Glen Drive in Cornelius, North Carolina (NCDOT Signal Inventory No. 10-2407). Perform the following tasks under this contract, as shown in the Plans: Construction of new pedestrian crossing with HAWK Signal at the McDowell Creek Greenway Phase II, Danas Branch crossing with Westmoreland Road. The purpose of this project is to install a new pedestrian hybrid beacon traffic control signal at a new midblock pedestrian crossing on Westmoreland Road (SR 2147) approximately 535 feet east of its intersection with Lake Pines Drive/Amberwood Glen Drive in Cornelius, North Carolina (NCDOT Signal Inventory No. 10-2407). Perform the following tasks under this contract, as shown in the Plans: -Install metal pole with mast arm provided by the Town on new pole foundation; -Furnish and install pedestrian signal pedestals; -Furnish and install foundations for metal pole with mast arm and for signal pedestals; -Furnish and install a 2070LX traffic signal controller with NCDOT s ASC/3-2070 local controller software and housed in a 332 base-mounted cabinet with base extender; -Furnish and install a signal cabinet foundation; -Furnish and install traffic signal heads; -Furnish and install signal cable and pedestrian detector lead-in cable; -Furnish and install underground conduit and junction boxes (i.e., pull boxes); -Furnish and install new electrical service and associated grounding system; -Furnish and install new regulatory and warning signs; -Furnish and install stop bars and crosswalk markings (thermoplastic); and, -Remove conflicting existing pavement markings
