Renovation of a civil project in Fridley, Minnesota. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
This project involves the construction and interconnection of the existing and new water distribution system. This project supports redundancy of the water distribution system and provides interconnection where potential for emergency fire flow could be affected by out of service water mains. The 2021 project will provide rehabilitation of a water main crossing Interstate 694 near Main Street, the 2023 project will consider source water piping from Well No. 1 to Commons Water Treatment Plant. The 2024 project (deferred from 2018) will provide connection of dead-end systems on Trunk Highway 65 between 68th Avenue and Norton Avenue. This project is in included in the City of Fridley FY 2022-2026 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of February 26, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
