The University of Wisconsin-Madison is requesting bids for the purchase of BOILER FEEDWATER PUMP REPAIR SERVICES. The University of Wisconsin Madison Heating Plant has a SPX Clyde Union pump that is exhibiting symptoms of excessive pump vibration, which makes the pump unsafe and unusable to operate. The vibration has created cracks in the pipe fitting welds, which needs to be repaired. The Heating Plants vibration monitoring system on the pump will alarm and stay in alarm when in use, also can feel the vibration when standing close to the pump. The bid is requesting removal, repair and re-installation services of said pump to be performed at your facility.
