The project consists of removal of the existing three-cell corrugated metal pipe culverts, construction of a PPC I-Girder bridge, HMA pavement reconstruction, HMA pavement milling and overlay, HMA bike path, soldier pile retaining wall, storm sewer and storm structures, detour signing, pavement markings, riprap and river rock placement, landscaping, and other related work. Traffic control and protection for the project is required. Major items include: 130,590 pounds Reinforcement Bars, Epoxy Coated; 222 cubic yards Concrete Superstructure; 604 feet Furnishing and Erecting Precast Prestressed Concrete Beams; 1254 tons HMA Surface Course, 84 cubic yards Concrete Structures (Retaining Wall). To bid on this project, contractors shall be required to provide a valid IDOT Certificate of Eligibility and obtain an approved LCDOT Authorization to Bid Project Location: Hart Road (Main Street/Lake Cook Road to south of US Route 14) ILDOT - Hart Road Bridge Replacement 18-00174-06-BR STRUCTURE NO. 049-3079 The Contractor shall complete all work required by the special provision for Article 108.03 on or before the completion date of this contract, which will be based upon 155 calendar days. After the completion date, an additional 26 working days will be allowed to complete all remaining work not requiring full closures (such as: milling, resurfacing, striping) and punch list work.
