Salt Lake City Corporation (the "City") is soliciting competitive sealed proposals from qualified contractors for the upgrade or replacement of equipment within City's existing fire training tower system. The proposals received must address City's need for an up-to-date, state-of-the-art fire training facility which meets or exceeds National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards, particularly NFPA 1402, "Standard on Facilities for Fire Training and Associated Props." As the successful offeror will be expected to provide the very best value to the City for this work, City will schedule a pre-bid conference including a walk-through of the training tower in order for the prospective offerors to ask questions and familiarize themselves with the facility. The successful offeror will be expected to provide, install, test, and make operationally ready the fire training tower equipment which is included in the awarded contract. The successful offeror will also be expected to provide training in the operation of the equipment and system for City personnel.
