Hawkeye Community College at Techworks - Smart Automation Certification Alliance (SACA) Center Sealed proposals for the above project will be received, publicly opened, and read aloud at the time and location stated above by Hawkeye Community College Copies of the plans, specifications, and other contract documents are on file and available for inspection at the offices of the architect and construction manager. Project involves painting, floor striping, coatings, and wall/ceiling surface preparation of the 2nd Floor of the Techwords building. Questions may be submitted in writing to the architect for review and clarification by addendum, if required. Addenda will be issued electronically to all known plan holders. BID SECURITY. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid bond, cash deposit, cashier's check or a certified check on a solvent bank chartered under the laws of the State of Iowa in the amount not less than 5% of the proposal submitted therewith. Bid securities shall be made payable to Hawkeye Community College. Should the successful bidder fail or neglect to furnish a satisfactory surety bond, refuse to enter into contract based on the bid, or fail to meet the requirements of this notice and the specifications regulating the award, the bidder's security may be retained as liquidated damages. No bidder may withdraw the proposal for a period of thirty calendar (30) days after the date and hour set for opening of bids. The work under the Contract shall be commenced immediately after execution of the Owner-Contractor Agreement and substantially completed by a mutually agreed upon date, all as set forth in contractual documents. The right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities therein is reserved by Hawkeye Community College.
