The Scope of Work includes construction of approximately 1,567 lineal feet of 6-inch diameter PVC water main, 162 lineal feet of 8-inch diameter PVC water main, two creek crossing, associated fire hydrants, valves, fittings, and other incidental items and work described in the Project Manual, or reasonably inferable therefrom. A bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount must accompany each bid, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Upon signing the contract, the successful contractor and any subcontractor performing the work shall provide a ten hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) construction safety program for their on-site employees, as specified in the General Conditions of the Contract Documents. The City of Ste. Genevieve hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. The Owner Intends to Award the Contract to the Most Responsive, Responsible Bidder Submitting the Lowest Bid. The Owner Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids, and To Waive Any Irregularities in the Best Interest of the Owner. All time limits stated in the Contract Documents are of the essence. The Work to be performed under the Contract shall commence within seven (7) consecutive calendar days of the date of the written Notice to Proceed from the Owner to the Contractor, and shall be completed within 60 consecutive calendar days from and including the date of said written Notice to Proceed, subject to adjustments of this Contract Time as provided in the Contract Documents.
