Renovation of a water / sewer project in Ferris, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The project scope includes, but is not limited to, the following major work items: Rehabilitation of the Primary Clarifier 1 (PC1) mechanism, structure, piping, and associated equipment; Demolition and replacement/addition of plug valves, check valves, flanged coupling adapters and piping in Return Activated Sludge Pump Station No. 1 (RASPS1); Coating of metallic piping, valves, pumps, motors and couplings as indicated on the Drawings in RASPS1; Installation of two new bridge cranes in RASPS1; Rehabilitation of floor drains in RASPS1; Replacement of the supply and exhaust fans and associated duct in the RASPS1 pump rooms; Mitigation of water intrusion at the east wall and replacement of sidewalk and steps on the east side of the RASPS1 building; Demolition and replacement of slide gates and pressure relief valves, and various structural improvements at Division Boxes 2 and 2A; Removal and planting of trees along the southwest corner of the Plant including an irrigation system; Replacement of the Maintenance Building roof and clerestory windows; Installation of spray-in insulation under the steel deck of the non-climate-controlled areas of the Maintenance Building; Installation of a steel wind screen and cover over the existing grit classifier equipment, including new lighting under the cover, on top of the Grit Removal Facility structure; Rehabilitation of the mechanical components of the two (2) existing screens at the Screening Facility; Replacement of eight (8) existing actuators; installation of new disconnect switches, conduit, and wire for each new actuator; Replacement of the biotrickling filter with a new biotrickling filter at the Sludge Dewatering Building and replacement of associated appurtenances and electrical; Installation of exhaust fans in the Sludge Dewatering Building process area; and Site Lighting Improvements. Direct all questions regarding distribution or design of Contract Documents for this project to Stefanie Massey, Stefanie.massey@aecom.com Proposals shall be accompanied by either a Bid Bond or certified check upon a national or state bank in an amount not less than 5% of the total maximum bid price, payable without recourse to the Trinity River Authority of Texas as a guarantee that the bidder will, within 10 days after notice of award, enter into a Contract and furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond upon the forms provided, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price, from a surety licensed to conduct business in Texas and named in the current "List of Certified Companies" as published in Circular 570 (amended) by the Audit Staff Bureau of Accounts, U.S. Treasury Department. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any immaterial formalities on inconsistencies in its sole judgment Estimate: $8-$10 Million The deadline to ask questions is 3/17/2022 2:00 PM CDT
