The Work under this Project consists of improving the stormwater conveyance system. A New Box Culvert will be installed crossing Bruce Road and a beaver dam will be removed. An additive bid will be considered to clean and regrade existing ditches between Commonwealth Rail Road and Bruce Road. Bid Security in the amount of FIVE percent (5%) of the Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. Each Bidder shall submit a letter of certification from their surety that an Erosion and Sediment Control Surety Bond in the amount of $ will be issued if the Bidder is awarded the contract. Contractor registration in accordance with Title 2.2 Chapter 43, Code of Virginia is required. The Owner reserves the right to waive minor non-substantive informalities in the Bid, to reject any/or all Bids, to award any Bid in whole or in part and award the Bid considered to be in the best interest of the Owner. The Owner also reserves the right to negotiate with the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder should Bid exceed available funds by no more than 5%, in accordance with Chesapeake City Code Section 54-63(7).
