The Riverside Drainage District LLC, is a taxing entity governed by a board of directors elected by general election administered by the Sedgwick County Election Commissioner. The board is currently soliciting bids for mowing and related maintenance services for the 2022 growing season. This is for a south Wichita non-residential area, very long, not very wide, known as the big slough, or Riverside Drainage District. The work would most likely require commercial type equipment. Winning bidder will be required to provide a $1M certificate of insurance. Mowing will be on an as needed basis to meet Wichita grass and weed height code, historically every 2 weeks or twice monthly. This is a federally regulated waterway, chemical mowing is prohibited. Quote mowing on a per occurance basis. Bills are approved at monthly board meetings usually on first Mondays, and checks written at that time. Related services will consist of removal of volunteer trees and other non-grass or weed growth and trash as needed. Quote related service on a by the hour and receipted disposal basis.
