Anticipated A/E professional Services - Start April, 2022 Date Email Questions Due March 14,2022 11:00 a.m. Date Answers Due to all Firms March 15, 2022 Colorado Mesa University (CMU) seeks to retain a firm or team to provide skilled project management (PM) services to act as CMU s owner s representative and will be responsible for the organization, administration, oversight and coordination of the expansion and renovation of the Performing Arts facility. The Moss Performing Arts Building, located at Colorado Mesa University (CMU) in Grand Junction Colorado was constructed in 1968 and is approximately 74,500 sf. Currently The Moss Performing Arts Building houses CMU s Department of Theatre Arts and Music programs. The goal of this project is to address safety, accessibility and code compliancy. Additionally, CMU believes this project will address a space utilization issue and will increase the capacity to accommodate additional students, staff and community members. With a current construction budget of $43.9 million, renovations of the Moss Performing Arts Center will consist of a 29,247 gsf tear down of the existing Robinson Theater, and 42,550 gsf rebuild resulting in a 13,300 gsf expansion. The renovation and expansion will include the replacement of outdated performing arts lighting and stage communication systems to address acoustical deficiencies within the building. The expansion of the facility will include an addition of an academic quad classroom, multiple art discipline studios along with a lobby and storage spaces. Colorado Mesa University intends to procure and deliver this project using CM/GC delivery method and anticipates a phased schedule approach to complete the renovation and expansion. #35 * Parking is available in the structure to the east of the building. Late submittals will be rejected without consideration Colorado Mesa University and the State of Colorado assume no responsibility for costs related to the preparation of submittals. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
