The Childcare Development Center (CDC) is located in the Wing 0 (Zero) along F Street. The Childcare Center consists of three (3) non-contiguous spaces on the 1st Floor. In order to do this, a cost-effective interim HVAC system needs to be provided for cooling of perimeter zones until the future Modernization Phase II building renovation is undertaken. See Section 2.1 for detailed project requirements. The project is not a change in use of space, or occupancy. The exterior north wall of the daycare center contains 32 windows. Each window contains glass window panes. The space inside those windows is occupied by children and staff members. If a projectile is thrown into the window glass, the window pane would shatter and spray the occupants with glass shards, which would seriously injure the children and adult staff members. In order to protect the occupants from injury, each window's interior surface would be covered with a mylar film. The film is designed to be secured easily to the surface of the glass by the applicator. The D/B Contractor shall coordinate work and gain approvals required in this Statement of Work (SOW) with the Contracting Officer (CO) and Contracting Officer's Representative/Project Manager (COR/PM) as required. $250,000-500,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
