Lawrenson Hall is a 17 story residence hall located on the west campus of the University of Northern Colorado. The project consists of the removal of asbestos containing drywall to allow for the removal and replacement of drain and vent plumbing stacks per Contract Documents prepared by Owners Representative, RLH Engineering, Inc. Note: Contractors are required to be listed on the most current Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) list of Colorado General Abatement Contractors . The University of Northern Colorado will not allow any certified Colorado General Asbestos Abatement Contractors that are listed on the most current CDPHE Asbestos Enforcement Cases list with a Case Finding of Guilty in any state building or residence hall. General Requirements - Bid Deposit Required - Insurance Required Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % The work includes the removal and disposal of asbestos containing acoustical ceiling texture to be removed from concrete substrate. Where drywall ceilings and walls exist, the work includes the removal and disposal of texture containing drywall. Remove all ceiling texture and residue from concrete, including pits, form lines, and other variations in the concrete surface. Remove all drywall, including fasteners, leaving clean stud framing. Clean all dust, debris, and texture overspray from exposed stud cavities. If ceramic tile is adhered to drywall within the extent of removal, remove and dispose of ceramic tile as ACWM. Batt insulation within wall cavities shall be removed and disposed of. All piping and closed-cell rubberized foam pipe insulation shall be cleaned and left in place. The work includes the removal and disposal of lead-containing ceramic tile flooring to be removed during asbestos removal in a common abatement Work Area, and shall be disposed of with other ACWM. Removal includes only ceramic tile, grout adhesive does not need to be removed. OSA-AFB-1 REV 7/2021 Minimum Requirements Notice is hereby given to all interested parties that all firms will be required to meet all minimum requirements to be considered for this project. To be considered as qualified, interested firms shall have, as a minimum: 1. Provided General Contracting services within the last three (3) years for at least two (2) projects each in excess of $275,000.00 (hard costs), utilizing the expertise present in their Colorado Office; and 2. Demonstrated specific General Contracting experience in projects of similar scope and complexity; and 3. Demonstrated bonding capability up to $300,000.00 for an individual project coincidentally with current and anticipated workloads; provide letter from surety that affirms this capacity.
