Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The Contractor shall carry out the sediment removal, stockpiling and regrading the excavated material on site and landscaping. Excavation of Neebing/McIntyre Floodway Sediment CPR Sediment Trap - From approximately 40 metres west of the centre line of the most westerly rail to approximately 10 metres beyond the west limit of the confluence of the Neebing River (see drawings). Excavation Technique - The Contractor will be required to provide full details of proposed excavation techniques, dewatering and receive approval of the owner prior to the commencement of any work. Floating Silt Curtain Installation - OPSS 805, The Contractor shall install and maintain a floating silt curtain to enclose the work areas of the floodway channel prior to any sediment removal. At no time shall the curtain cut off access for users. Access along the channel must be maintained. The floating silt curtain shall only be removed when authorized by the Engineer after the completion of the sediment removal.
