Demolition, site work, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Middle Township, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; for the construction of a municipal facility; for the renovation of a municipal facility; pre-engineered storage facility; pre-engineered storage facility; and pre-engineered storage facility.

The project will include demolition to the existing Fare Free Office building, the Sign Storage Building, and the existing repair garage. The project includes the construction of a steel-frame "Multi-purpose Building" which will house offices for the Fare Free Department, the Health Department offices and associated storage areas for trailers, a repair garage for the Road Department and shared by the Fare Free Department, and associated support space for these functions. A freestanding Sign-Shop Building will be constructed with offices, sign fabrication areas, and a storage area for the signs and associated installation materials. A new salt shed will be constructed on the site. A drive-through wash bay building will be constructed on the site. A series of covered steel-frame storage sheds will also be constructed on the project site. Existing building 107 will be renovated at the southwest corner of the site and those renovations will largely be related to new interior finish material. Each bid when submitted shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond drawn to the order of the Atlantic County Improvement Authority, on the form furnished with the Bid Forms and other Contract Documents, for a sum of ten (10) percent of the total bid amount (said Bid Bond not to exceed $20,000). Each bid shall also be accompanied by such other documents and information as are required by the Bid Documents. Bids shall be on a total lump sum basis for the base contract as listed in the Form of Proposal listed on Page C-1 of the Project Manual. Bidders are required to comply with the laws and regulations of the State of New Jersey pertaining to construction projects, including, but not limited to the following: New Jersey Public Law 1975, c.127, "Law Against Discrimination"; NJSA 52:25-24.2, "Statement of Ownership"; NJSA 34:11-56.27 et seq., "New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act"; NJSA 52:32-44, "Definitions relative to registration of certain businesses; registration requirements"; N.J.S.A 19:44 A-20.4 et. seq., (New Jersey Local Unit "Pay to Play" Law); and all amendments thereof. This project will also be subject to a Project Labor Agreement. All questions must be received in writing by 4:00 PM on March 11th, 2022. The provisions of the Federal Government Department of Labor's current wage rate determinations and the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act are requirements of this project. The higher of the Federal or State Wage Rate and the higher of the Federal or State Fringe Benefit Rate Shall Prevail This project is partially funded by the United States Department of Transportation, Federal Transit Administration therefore, Bidders are required to comply with Buy America requirements and regulations. The domestic preference procurement requirements of 49 U.S.C.5323(j), and FTA regulations, "Buy America Requirements," 49 CFR Part 661, to the extent consistent with 49 U.S.C. 5323(j); This project includes a Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) goal of awarding 4% percentage of the total contract price to subcontractors, transaction expeditors, regular dealers, manufacturers and truckers qualifying as DBEs. The Atlantic County Improvement Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids in accordance with applicable law. COMPLETION DATE: WITHIN 730 DAYS FROM NOTICE TO PROCEED
