Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Maxton, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
This project consists of repairs to multiple areas impacted by Hurricane Florence based on an assessment conducted by the Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). These areas include the drainage ditch between Kincaid St and Malloy St, extending 120' downstream of Malloy St (Site #1), the town drainage culvert extending from the west side of N McNair St to the east side of Kincaid St (Site #2), the Kincaid St culvert (Site #3), and the Malloy St Culvert (Site #4). Scope of work associated with Site #1 will consist of excavation and removal of deposited soils in the channel and stabilization of channel embankments. Site #2 will consist of backfilling multiple sink holes along the drainage culvert alignment. Site #3 will consist of stabilizing the downstream embankment of Kincaid St with permanent turf reinforcement matting. Site #4 will consist of the removal and replacement of asphalt pavement and concrete curb and gutter and flumes along Malloy St. the total amount bid made payable to Town of Maxton. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 consecutive calendar days after bid opening except as provided in Instructions to Bidders. Bidders must be licensed contractors in the state(s) in which the work is to be completed.
