The undersigned proposes to provide said services required by the county of allegany as set forth in the enclosed bid. The successful bidder shall be obligated to furnish said services as set forth in this bid. The successful bidder shall be the person or corporation submitting the lowest bid meeting all specifications. Where a definite brand is specified, it is not intended that a definite quality level is established. The determination as to whether an alternate product is or is not equal shall be made by Allegany County. Contract Term: May 1, 2022 through April 30, 2023 All bidders must submit a Bid Bond or Certified Check in the amount of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) payable to Allegany County Department of Public Works with their bid. Bid Bond or Certified Check will be refunded to unsuccessful bidders. The successful bidder (s) will be issued a notice of intent to award and will be required to submit a Performance Bond in the amount of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) effective until May 1st, 2023, within three weeks of the date of receipt of the notice of intent. Upon receipt of the Performance Bond or Certified Check the successful bidder(s) will be issued a Notice of Award. The Bid Bond will be returned with the Notice of Award. The Performance Bond will be released upon completion of work and acceptance by the Superintendent of Public Works. Performance Bonds for Town and Village should be provided directly to the respective Town or Village. Addendum issued prior to the County s receipt of bids; Allegany County shall attempt to notify contractors known to have received the bid documents and whose contact information is on file with the County. Allegany County does not ensure the potential contractor s receipt of addendum. It shall be the responsibility of each contractor, prior to submitting its bid, to contact the Department of Public Works (585) 268-9230, to determine if an addendum has been issued. Upon mutual agreement of the parties, Allegany County reserves the right to renew the contract (s) awarded as a result of this bid for an additional one (1) year period by resolution of the Public Works Committee of the Allegany County Board of Legislators in accordance with the specifications and NYS GML 103 and 104b. The Allegany County Department of Public Works reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to accept the bid it determines to be in the best interest of Allegany County.
