The Contractor is to remove and dispose of the existing acoustic ceiling and its support grid/system located in the first-floor lobby of the aforementioned property. The existing ceiling is approximately 2,300 square feet in size and is to be verified by the contractor. 2. The Contractor is to provide and apply duct sealant to the locks and joint connections of all of the existing supply and return air ducts located above the ceiling, within the designated lobby footprint. There are to be no visual or audible signs of air leakage. a. Approved duct sealant manufacturer is Design Polymerics or approved equal. I. DP 1030 UL 181 Water Based Duct Sealant. II. Fiber Reinforced; Zero VOC; Indoor/Outdoor Application. III. For High & Low-Pressure Commercial Duct Application. 3. The Contractor is to provide and professionally install flexible duct wrap insulation on all existing supply and return air ducts throughout the area receiving the new acoustic ceiling grid system (original drawings provided). Duct wrap seams are to be secured with outward clinching staples placed approximately 6" (152 mm) on center and covered with FSK tape. The duct wrap shall be installed free of holes and gaps to ensure that a 100% vapor barrier is maintained. a. Approved flexible duct wrap manufacturer is Johns Manville or approved equal. I. Microlite FSK-Faced Formaldehyde-Free Fiberglass Duct Wrap. II. Installed R Value-6. III. 2-1/5" thickness in 3/4 lb. weight. 4. The Contractor is to install a new T-Bar style, 2' x 2' suspended grid ceiling system at the same elevation of the existing ceiling. All accessories and components necessary to install a complete and finished product, including but not limited to, the manufacturer's recommended wire supports spaced no more than 4' apart, angle molding, channel molding, shadow molding, end caps and cross tees are to be included. a. Approved suspended grid ceiling manufacturer is Armstrong or approved equal. I. Prelude ML 7300WH - 15/16" exposed hook-end suspension system. II. ASTM Class - Intermediate Duty III. Standard White Color (WH); Standard Finish (Not Power-Coated) b. Approved Armstrong ceiling panels/tiles for 15/16" grid system or approved equal. I.Fissured #756 - 24" x 24" x 5/8" Square Lay-In ceiling tiles.
