Asbestos Abatement at Linden Academy Building Graphic Arts (103), Cosmetology (105), Food/Life Skills (107), Office Spaces Project Bidders attending the bid opening shall be required to wear masks and gloves and observe social distancing rules. The Bidder shall be classified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management ("DPMC") and in the following discipline: C093 Asbestos Removal/Mechanical Bids must be submitted on the provided forms and be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond drawn to the order of the "Linden Board of Education" for not less than Ten Percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, but in no case in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00). Bid securities shall comply with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-24. Bids shall also include a Certificate of Consent of Surety obligating the issuing surety company to provide the bidder and its subcontractors, if awarded the contract for the Project, with a New Jersey Statutory Performance Bond and New Jersey Statutory Payment Bond in the full amount of the contract. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening date. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or to waive any informality in the bidding, as permitted by law. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., and N.J.A.C. 17:27. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.50 et seq., Bidders and their subcontractors are required to be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and to possess a current Certificate from said Department indicating compliance at the time of bidding.
