Renovation of a theater / auditorium in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a theater / auditorium.

The work consists of the renovations to the existing Jackson Theater including minor demolition, ceiling plaster and trim repairs, ceiling painting and acoustical panel installation. The project is located at the 220 N. Jefferson Street, Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be directed to Engineer. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda, mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. Question Deadline 04/21/2024 A certified check or bid bond payable to or naming as obligee Borough of Punxsutawney in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount must be deposited with the proposal. Bidders must submit with their bids the Non-Collusion Affidavit contained in the contract documents. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for performance and payment bonds in the full amount of the contract and submit evidence of its qualifications to perform the work. The Successful Bidder will be required to execute the Agreement and to furnish performance and payment bonds, each of said bonds to be in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price, all in the respective forms provided in the Bidding Documents. The Contractor also will be required to furnish evidence of insurance coverage as required by the Bidding Documents. Proposal envelope must be sealed and clearly marked, "Proposal for Contract No. CDBG-C20-03: Borough of Punxsutawney - Jackson Theater Improvements - Re-Bid," and bear the name and address of the Bidder. The Borough of Punxsutawney reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality and to award the contract as may be deemed by the Borough to be in their best interest. Bids shall remain open for a period of 60 days from the date of Bid opening . Copies of the Contract Specifications and Drawings are on file and may be examined at the office of Gwin, Dobson & Foreman, Inc., 3121 Fairway Drive, Altoona, PA 16602, Phone: 814-943-5214, Fax: 814-943-8494, Email: akordish@gdfengineers.com, and the Borough of Punxsutawney, 301 East Mahoning Street, Punxsutawney, PA 15767, Phone: 814-938-4480 between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM daily (prevailing local time) except Saturday, Sunday and Holidays. Sets of such documents may be obtained from the office of Gwin, Dobson & Foreman, Inc. upon payment of One Hundred Twenty Five Dollars and No Cents ($125.00) payable to Gwin, Dobson & Foreman, Inc. Payment also accepted using VISA and MasterCard. This payment will not be refunded. Contract documents may also be obtained electronically at no charge. Bidding documents including plans, specifications and addenda, must be obtained directly from the Engineer to be considered.
