The Project includes one prime contract which is generally described as follows: Site modifications including reconstruction of asphalt roadways and parking areas with granite curb, concrete walkways, pavement striping, decorative fencing, stormwater improvements and green infrastructure, landscaping, and site lighting. Work shall be substantially completed on or before September 2, 2022, and ready for final payment by October 4, 2022. Bids actually received by mail or by hand after the appointed time on the date specified shall be rejected, notwithstanding that such Bid may have been placed in a mailbox or other mail receptacle regularly maintained by the United States Postal Service before such time and ordinarily in sufficient time to have been delivered on time. The Town of Coeymans is an exempt organization under the Tax Law and is exempt from payment of Sales and Compensating Use Taxes on materials which are to be incorporated into the project and which are to be separately sold by the Contractor to the Owner prior to incorporation into the project, pursuant to the provisions of the Contract. These taxes are not to be included in the bid. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders. The successful Bidders will be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. A pre-bid conference will not be held. The developments involved in this Project include an overall improvement to the available parking at the Coeymans Landing Park and surrounding areas. These developments include the addition of asphalt parking in areas of the town where there is current gravel parking, a stormwater treatment area, implementation and improvement of concrete sidewalks and curbs, and other necessary utilities. This Project will occur surrounding the existing park and will facilitate easier access to the waterfront launch area as well. The depths of impact reported will include stripping pavement to subgrade in many areas to implement these new features.
