Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Caro, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Construction activity to include clearing of right of way, earth excavation, embankment, storm sewer installation, culvert installation, aggregate base and drainage improvements, and all other necessary work to complete the project. The quantities on the plan sheets are estimated quantities and differing quantities will need to be discussed with the engineer before work begins. Completion is scheduled for October 31, 2022, unless arranged with Engineer. Liquidated damages may be assessed at a rate of $100.00 per day, per project, starting November 1, 2022. Liquidated damages may also be assessed at a rate of $100.00 per day. Work will be completed in two stages. Work from STA 17+00 east will be completed in the 2022 construction season. Work from STA 18+00 west to Merry Road will be completed in the 2023 construction season following the box culvert relocation project to be completed by others. All costs associated with coordination and mobilization to complete the project in two construction seasons must be included in the bid items.
