Site work and paving for a road / highway in Litchfield, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Town of Litchfield Will accept bids for pavement grinding The road surface to grind will be 22 feet wide x 2,640 feet. The road shall be ground to a depth of approximately 8 inches, and shall be rolled and compacted with a minimum 15-ton roller. The road shall be safely passable at the end of each day. A contractor shall hold the price for a minimum of 12 months, to be extended upon approval of the Select Board. All work shall be constructed as outlined in this contract and as directed by the Road Commissioner. All work shall be performed in compliance with accepted industry standards and practices. The contractor shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations that relate in any manner to the work performed under contract, including, but not limited to, local environmental ordinances. Ignorance of said laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations by the contractor shall not relieve the contractor from responsibility to comply with all said laws, ordinances, rules, and regulation
