Work under this contract includes the installation of approximately 900 linear feet of concrete sidewalk on Tolland Turnpike in Manchester. It includes other appurtenant work such as restoration of lawn areas, pavement repair and traffic control. Bids may be hand delivered to the above address or directed by U.S. Mail to said office at Town of Manchester, Lincoln Center, 494 Main Street, P.O. Box 191, Manchester, CT 06045-0191. Bid security in the form of a bid bond, payable to the Town of Manchester, is required in the sum of 5 percent (5%) of the total bid. Bid security shall be subject to the conditions set forth in the Standard Instructions to Bidders. This project is funded through the HUD Community Development Block Grant Program. The Contractor will be subject to federal requirements, including paying federal prevailing wage rates (attached) per the Davis Bacon Act. The Contractor must also comply with Section 3 requirements if the project costs exceed $200,000.00. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of bid opening. The Town reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids, should it be deemed to be in the public interest to do so, and to reserve any and/or all other rights as detailed in the Contract Documents.
