The Mifflin County Airport Authority will receive sealed bids For to remove existing fencing and replace such with new fencing and to perform other work in relation to fence replacement and construction situated at the Mifflin County Airport The bids will be considered for award at the meeting of the Authority scheduled for Monday, March 14, 2022, at 7:00 p.m., prevailing time. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after the date and time of the opening of bids. Bid Security: Bids shall include all costs incidental to the work and Bids shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee/bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid Total, either in the form of a certified check, cashiers' check or Bid Bond. All surety companies utilized shall be authorized to engage in the business of issuing surety bonds within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Bidders that submit a Bid Bond shall obtain and utilize the form provided by the Mifflin County Airport Authority in the Contract Documents. No other forms will be accepted. Performance and Payment Bonds and Insurances: Performance and Payment Bonds, together with required insurances, shall be due within fourteen (14) days of the Notice of Intent to Award. All surety companies shall be authorized to engage in the business of issuing surety bonds within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The Bidder to whom a Notice of Intent to Award is given must utilize the Performance and Payment Bond forms provided by the Mifflin County Airport Authority in the Contract Documents. No other forms will be accepted Execution of Agreement: Thereafter, upon satisfactory submission of Bonds and Insurance information, the Agreement must be executed within ten (10) calendar days after Notice of Award. All cashiers' checks, certified checks or Bid Bonds must be made payable to "MIFFLIN COUNTY AIRPORT AUTHORITY". The Mifflin County Airport Authority reserves the right, at its option and discretion, to waive any informalities, defects, errors or omissions in any or all bids and to award said contract in the best interests of the Mifflin County Airport Authority or to reject any or all bids.
