Renovation of an educational facility in Kyle, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 40,000-square-foot educational facility.

The project site is a kitchen loading area at the existing Jack C. Hays High School campus located at 4800 Jack C. Hays Trail in Buda, Texas. The site is surrounded by existing school buildings. The existing sphaltic concrete parking lot has a surface area of approximately 5,000 sq ft das estimate from Google Earth. The topography is relatively flat. There are likely to be a significant number of existing utilities associated with the existing school development at this site. The presence of buried utilities should be anticipated during construction. Project includes approximately 40,000 square feet in renovated spaces. The range of spaces includes: - Science Wing - Roof - Front entry/loading area exterior The HVAC Equipment was bid previously in Bid Package 2 and includes Roof Top Units and 2 Energy Recovery Units. This equipment is scheduled to be delivered per the schedule. HVAC subs need to include pricing to coordinate and manage the equipment. The equipment does not include peripheral devices and only includes the equipment as shown on the schedule. Full Scope: 1. Renovating Science Labs to combo Lab/Lecture with centralized storage and prep rooms 2. HVAC renovation and Roof replacement 3. Remove VCT at Science wing corridors and polish concrete floor finish 4. Remedy drainage issues east of science wing, west of gym and loading dock of kitchen The primary goal is to renovate existing classrooms in the main building and the Science wing into fully functional Lab spaces by demolishing interior walls and building new ones in such a way as to create larger more flexible lab spaces. The secondary goal of the school renovations is to replace the existing HVAC system and upgrade the electrical service as needed for the new air handlers. The third goal of the renovation is to continue the district s work to reduce maintenance needs at existing campuses by removing aging VCT flooring and replacing it with polished concrete in common areas. The fourth goal of the renovation is to remedy drainage issues at select locations around campus.
