Town of Southern Pines, Public Works Department, is seeking Consultants to provide Qualifications for On-Call Water Treatment Plant Engineering Services. The term of the possible contract will be through June 30, 2025 with options to renew. All questions concerning the proposal requirements or project in general should be directed to James Michel at jmichel@southernpines.ne Southern Pines is one of the largest municipalities in Moore County with approximately 15,000 residents. Moore County is situated in the south-central section of the State bounded by nine counties. Southern Pines comprises approximately 16 square miles of land area and utilizes the Lumber River and Cape Fear River basins. The Town is seeking qualified firms to provide professional services on an "On-Call" basis to assist the Town with engineering and other professional services associated with the Town's Water Treatment Plant. The Town of Southern Pines is seeking qualifications from qualified consulting engineering firms to provide professional services including engineering, surveying, and other professional services to support the Public Works and other Town Departments. Work under this RFQ may include the typical professional services associated with water treatment system projects including, but not limited to, treatment systems, intakes, reservoirs, transmission mains, booster stations, ground storage, and elevated tanks. These include but are not limited to project management, project development, budgeting, engineering analysis and studies, long range planning, GIS assistance, grants and loans assistance, surveying, preliminary design, detailed design, permitting, subsurface utility engineering, geotechnical engineering, stakeholder coordination, easement and real property mapping and acquisition, preparation of construction documents, construction management, construction observation, preparation of as-builts, project closeout, and other professional services as needed to meet the Town's goals. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
