The lowest responsive bidder must have completed, or successfully complete, a Highway Construction or Paving Prequalification, or project specific prequalification to be considered for the award of this contract. Description: WIN 24973.00 Location: In Franklin County, project is located: Map ID | is in Weld and Phillips on Route 142 beginning at the intersection with Route 156 and extending northerly to the westerly junction of Route 4. Includes paving shoulders and milling and paving Bridge #3109. Map ID 2 is in Avon and Phillips on Pleasant Street beginning at the intersection with Route 4 and extending northerly to the intersection with Route 149. Includes paving shoulders. Map ID 3 is in Madrid TWP, Township E, Sandy River PLT, Rangeley PLT, and Rangeley on Route 4 beginning 0.05 mile south of the Township E/Madrid TWP line and extending northeasterly to the intersection with Route 17. Includes paving shoulders and milling and paving Bridge #2479, #2735, and #223 1. Map ID 4 is in Phillips, Salem TWP, Freeman TWP, and Kingfield on Route 142 beginning at the easterly junction of Route 4 and extending northeasterly to the intersection with Route 16/27. Includes paving shoulders and milling and paving Bridge #5064, #3057, #1473, and #2565. Outline of Work: Light Capital Paving and other incidental work. Each Bid must be made upon blank forms provided by the Department and must be accompanied by a bid bond at 5% of the bid amount or an official bank check, cashier's check, certified check, certificate of deposit, or United States postal money order in the amount of 5% of the bid amount, payable to Treasurer, State of Maine as a Bid guarantee. A Contract Performance Surety Bond and a Contract Payment Surety Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price, will be required of the successful Bidder.
