The lowest responsive bidder must have completed, or successfully complete, a Highway Construction or Paving Prequalification, or project specific prequalification to be considered for the award of this contract. Description: WIN 24977.00 Location: In Aroostook County, project 1s located: Map ID 1 is in T14 R6 WELS and Portage Lake on Route 11 beginning 0.82 miles north of the intersection with the West Road and extending northerly to the Soucy Hill reconstruction project. Includes paving shoulders and trucklanes. Map ID 2 is in Van Buren on the Castonguay Road and Champlain Street beginning on the Castonguay Road at the intersection with Route 1 and extending northwesterly and northeasterly to the intersection with Route 1. Includes paving shoulders and milling and paving Bridge #5306. Map ID 3 is in Westmanland and New Sweden on the Westmanland Road, the Station Road and the Capitol Hill Road beginning on the Westmanland Road at the intersection with the Blackstone Road and extending easterly to the intersection with Route 161; then continuing easterly on the Station Road to the intersection with the Capitol Hill Road; then continuing southerly on the Capitol Hill Road to the intersection of Route 161. Map ID 4 is in Winterville Pit and Eagle Lake on Route 11 beginning at the intersection with the Quimby Road and extending northerly to 0.05 miles south of the intersection with Sunset Drive. Includes paving shoulders and milling and paving Bridge #2597. Map ID 5 is in New Sweden and Connor Twp on the Station Road beginning at the intersection with the Capitol Hill Road and extending easterly to the intersection with Route 1. Map ID 6 is in Washburn, Woodland, and Caribou on Route 164 beginning 0.03 miles south of the Washburn/Woodland town line and extending northeasterly to the Compact Urban Line 0.15 miles southwest of the intersection with Meadowbrook Drive. Includes paving shoulders and milling and paving Bridge #2034. Map ID 7 is in Grand Isle on Route 1 beginning at the intersection with the Cyr Road and extending northwesterly to Bridge #2781. Includes paving shoulders. Map ID 8 is in Ashland and Nashville Pit on Route 11 beginning at the intersection with the Lagoon Road and extending northerly to 0.55 south of the Portage Lake/Nashville line. Includes paving shoulders and milling and paving Bridge #3555. Map ID 9 is in Perham, Woodland, and Washburn on the Carson Road beginning at the intersection with Route 228 and extending easterly to the intersection with Route 164. Outline of Work: Light Capital Paving and other incidental work. Each Bid must be made upon blank forms provided by the Department and must be accompanied by a bid bond at 5% of the bid amount or an official bank check, cashier's check, certified check, certificate of deposit, or United States postal money order in the amount of 5% of the bid amount, payable to Treasurer, State of Maine as a Bid guarantee. A Contract Performance Surety Bond and a Contract Payment Surety Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price, will be required of the successful Bidder. This Contract is subject to all applicable State Laws. The right is hereby reserved to the Maine DOT to reject any or all bids. MEDOT - Light Capital Paving - Fort Kent - Region 5 A penalty in the amount of $500/day will be assessed for each calendar day or partial calendar day beyond June 15 th that the schedule of work is not received.
