The lowest responsive bidder must have completed, or successfully complete, a Highway Construction or Paving Prequalification, or project specific prequalification to be considered for the award of this contract. Description: WIN 24981.00 Location: In Aroostook and Penobscot Counties, project is located: Map ID 1 is in Danforth on the Bancroft Road beginning at the Weston/Danforth town line and extending southerly to the intersection with Route 169. Map ID 2 is in Molunkus Twp and Macwahoc Plt on Route 2 beginning at the Mattawamkeag/Molunkus line and extending northeasterly to the intersection with Route 2A. Includes paving shoulders. Map ID 3 is in Orient on the Boundary Road beginning at the intersection with the Schoo! House Road and extending easterly to the Orient/Fosterville line. Map ID 4 is in Re ed Plt on Route 171 beginning at the Drew/Re ed line and extending northwesterly to the intersection with Route 2A. Map ID 5 is in Silver Ridge Twp, Sherman, Crystal, and Island Falls on Route 2 beginning at the T! R5/Silver Ridge line and extending northerly to 0.15 miles northeast of the intersection with the Cold Brook Road. Includes milling and paving Bridge #2163. Map ID 6 is in T3 Indian Purchase Twp and Millinocket on Route 11 beginning at the T4 Indian Purchase/T3 Indian Purchase line and extending easterly to the Compact Urban Line 0.07 miles west of the intersection with the Golden Road. Includes paving shoulders. Map ID 7 is in Bancroft Twp and Weston on the Bancroft Road beginning 0.28 miles northwest of the Weston/Bancroft line and extending southeasterly to 0.08 miles northwest of the intersection with the Cropley Road. Map ID 8 is in Orient on the School House Road beginning at the southerly junction of Route | and extending northerly to the northerly junction of Route 1 . Map ID 9 is in Bancroft Twp, Weston, and Orient on the Selden Road and the Number 9 Road beginning at the intersection with the Kelly Road and extending easterly to the intersection with Route 1. Map ID 10 is in Chester and Lincoln on the South Chester Road and the Bridge Road beginning on the South Chester Road at the intersection with Route 116 and extending northeasterly to the intersection with the Bridge Road; then continuing southeasterly on the Bridge Road to the intersection with Route 2. Map ID 11 is in Chester and Woodville on Route 116 beginning 0.75 miles north of the intersection with the South Chester Road and extending northerly to 0.24 miles north of the intersection with the Kimball Road. Includes paving shoulders. Outline of Work: Light Capital Paving and other incidental work. Bidders shall not contact any other Departmental staff for clarification of Contract provisions, and the Department will not be responsible for any interpretations so obtained. Each Bid must be made upon blank forms provided by the Department and must be accompanied by a bid bond at 5% of the bid amount or an official bank check, cashier's check, certified check, certificate of deposit, or United States postal money order in the amount of 5% of the bid amount, payable to Treasurer, State of Maine as a Bid guarantee. A Contract Performance Surety Bond and a Contract Payment Surety Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price, will be required of the successful Bidder. This Contract is subject to all applicable State Laws. The right is hereby reserved to the Maine DOT to reject any or all bids. MEDOT - Light Capital Paving - Medway Area - Regions 4 and 5 A penalty in the amount of $500/day will be assessed for each calendar day or partial calendar day beyond June 15 th that the schedule of work is not received.
