The lowest responsive bidder must have completed, or successfully complete, a Highway Construction or Paving Prequalification, or project specific prequalification to be considered for the award of this contract. Description: WIN 25943 .00 Location: In Kennebec and Waldo Counties, project is located: Map ID 1 is in Waterville on Route 137B beginning at the intersection with Spring Street and extending westerly to the northeasterly junction of Route 11/104. Includes paving shoulders and turning lanes. Map ID 2 is in Clinton and Burnham on Route 11/100 beginning at the intersection with Baker Street and extending northeasterly to Burnham/Pittsfield townline. Includes paving shoulders and milling and paving Bridge #2117. Map ID 3 is in Freedom and Albion on Route 137 beginning 0.10 miles east of the intersection with the North Palermo Road and extending westerly to the easterly junction of Route 9/202. Includes paving shoulders. Map ID 4 is in Waterville on Route 11/104 beginning at the intersection with Kennedy Memortal Drive and extending northeasterly to the intersection with Route 100S/201S. Includes paving shoulders and turning lanes. Map ID 5S is in Liberty, Montville, and Knox on Route 220 beginning at the northerly junction of Route 105 and extending northerly to the intersection with Route 137. Includes paving shoulders and milling and paving Bridge #3169. Outline of Work: Light Capital Paving and other incidental work. Bidders shall not contact any other Departmental staff for clarification of Contract provisions, and the Department will not be responsible for any interpretations so obtained. Each Bid must be made upon blank forms provided by the Department and must be accompanied by a bid bond at 5% of the bid amount or an official bank check, cashier's check, certified check, certificate of deposit, or United States postal money order in the amount of 5% of the bid amount, payable to Treasurer, State of Maine as a Bid guarantee. A Contract Performance Surety Bond and a Contract Payment Surety Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price, will be required of the successful Bidder.
