The sole point of contact for purposes of this IFB is the Procurement Officer Dan Porter. Mr. Porter or his designee Ms. Ruth Barker may be contacted at telephone number 410 651-1333 between 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. or by FAX 410 651-1574. NOTE: The vendor is solely responsible for ensuring any information sent to the Procurement Officer by FAX has been received by the Procurement Officer. Bids are not to be faxed. No Pre-Bid Meeting will be held. All Questions concerning this procurement shall be directed to Mr. Porter or Ms. Ruth Barker prior to March 11th, 2022. The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration located in Princess Anne, Somerset County is currently accepting bids from vendors in order to establish a contract for as-needed repairs of various hydraulic equipment, repairs to hydraulic equipment parts, and similar machinery needing the hydraulic systems worked on. The Hydraulic equipment to be repaired may include, but is not limited to: dumps, plows, salt spreaders, forklifts, hoists, tailgates, etc. The work to be performed under this Contract may briefly be described as diagnosing, repairing, and testing hydraulic equipment including all necessary or incidental work, labor and materials. Contractor shall be able to work on a variety of manufacturer's components and be well trained in the diagnosis and repair process related to hydraulic equipment. Generally, SHA will remove the hydraulic portion of the equipment and deliver to the vendor. The vendor must be able to accept delivery and begin working on the SHA equipment within 3 days of SHA delivering the units to the vendor's place of business. Vendor's repair facility must be within 90-minute drive of SHA Princess Anne shop. Vendor must have equipment such as a forklift or crane capable of safely offloading the SHA equipment from trailers or other transportation equipment. For all work orders, SHA will require a "not to exceed" estimate with number of hours estimated and total materials costs (a part list). SHA shall retain the right to purchase from other contracts any parts or materials needed to be used in conjunction with this contract. Invoice shall be based on the actual number of hours worked and shall not be for the NTE estimate. Dates and timeframes shall be kept supporting the hours worked for each work order. SHA estimates this contract will start in April 2022.
