The City of New Ellenton, South Carolina, is requesting Request for Proposals to design and install playground equipment and playing surface for children ages 5 to 12 at the city's Evans Park location. This project consists ofdemolition and removal ofsome ofthe existing playground equipment, and the
design and installation of an inclusive playground system including surfacing at Davis Park located at
200 N. Main Street, New Ellenton, SC 29809. Work is to include the design of a play system within the
constructed play area boundaries, as well as the installation of commercial grade playground equipment,
equipment footings, and rubber surface. All equipment will be assembled and installed by the supplier.
Playground suppliers shall provide a maximum of(2) two designs for each supplier represented for the
park. The City of New Ellenton requires Suppliers to design a play system that meets or exceeds ail
current federal CPSC, ASTM, IPEMA standards and ADA requirements. The proposals shall include the
costs of delivered and installed play systems as designed, inclusive ofthe equipment structures,
components, hardware, detailed technical installation instructions and maintenance & operations manuals from manufacturer. A briefsynopsis ofthe highlights ofthe proposal should be presented which summarizes the key benefits
ofthe proposal to the City. This includes a short narrative describing the respondents understanding of
the scope ofthe project and their overall vision for the usefulness ofthe playground equipment. The
Proposer will be required to provide sufficient documentation to define the items being provided in this
scope of work. Such documentation may include, but is not limited to, vendor catalog sheets, data sheets,
2D drawings and sketches, 3D renderings and warranty information. Provide a list ofthe components
proposed for the Park play system. Include structure and component model numbers, materials, color
choices and, protective area requirements, accessibility, target age ranges and developmental ability
levels, target play type or activity, estimated lifetime of equipment including manufacturers warranty and
any other relevant descriptive information.
