WORK: Grass cutting, debris removal, and disposal of the same, at lots, houses, and other vacant parcels of land designated to be cut in the City of Lorain, Ohio. Each bid must contain the full name of every person or company interested in the same and must be accompanied by a certified check on a solvent bank, drawn and made payable to the City of Lorain, Ohio, in the sum of four thousand dollars ($4,000) or a bid bond in the form acceptable to the City. This bond or check is a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the contract will be entered into and its performance properly performed and secured. The bid check/bond should be enclosed in the sealed bid, but in a separate envelope clearly marked BID CHECK/BOND with the bidders name & address on the bid check/bond envelope. Should any bid be rejected, such bond or check will be forthwith returned to the bidder; and should any bid be accepted, such bond or check will be returned upon proper execution and securing of the contract. Each bidder must insure that all employees and applicant for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, sex or national origin. All bidders must comply with the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Bidders shall be required to comply with all Federal and State laws and regulations concerning these matters. The Director of Public Safety/Service reserves the right to make separate or combination awards and to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any information in the bids received.
