The project will consist of the following approximate quantities of work: 1,300 Tons Superpave Bituminous Concrete Wearing Surface Layer, 1/2" Maximum Aggregate Size ESAL Range A/B, 340 Tons Superpave Bituminous Concrete Upper Binder Layer, Patching, 1" Maximum Aggregate Size, 100 Tons Superpave Bituminous Concrete Upper Binder Layer, Leveling, 1/2" Maximum Aggregate Size; all other labor, material, equipment and work required or implied by the Contract Documents (Plans and Specifications). Prequalification of Bidders is not required. However Bidders must meet the minimum requirements included in the Contract Documents. Attention of Bidders is called to the provisions of State law governing "General Contractors", as set forth in AL Code 34-8-1, et seq. (1975), and rules and regulations promulgated pursuant thereto. All bonds, sureties and/or cashier checks shall be made payable to the City of Fayette for an amount not less than 5 percent of the Engineer's estimated cost of the project or of the total bid in the proposal. In no event shall the amount be more than $10,000.00.
