Saving Project...

Renovation of an educational facility in North Vancouver, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Mountainside Secondary school currently has a boiler plant with 4 atmospheric type boilers. The project entails replacing one of the existing boilers with a new condensing boiler along with associated controls work, boiler venting, and electrical work. Six existing zone pumps are also to be replaced with new smart pumps. Additionally, the ventilation to block 1b of the school is to be upgraded to a heat recovery ventilator (HRV). This portion of the project will be to modify the existing air handling unit and add a new HRV to the roof. To accommodate the new HRV unit, associated work of relocating a drain, providing new roof openings, and upgrading the structure (locally at the unit) will be required. As part of this ventilation upgrade and as a separate price, zone variable air volume (VAV) boxes are to be installed into the existing duct distribution system of block 1b along with its associated controls.
