Renovation of a water / sewer project in Big Rapids, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Items of work include recoating the interior and exterior troughs of both clarifiers including surface preparation, concrete repair, and application of specified coatings. The project also includes replacing tank pressure relief valves and all related work. Bids will be accepted only from Plan Holders of Record. In order to be a Plan Holder of Record Bidding Documents must be obtained from the Issuing Office. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The City of Big Rapids reserves the right to accept any bid, reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and make the award in any manner deemed in the best interest of the City. The City of Big Rapids WWTP Final Clarifier Improvements Project involves recoating the interior and exterior troughs of both clarifiers including surface preparation, concrete repair, and application of specified coatings. The project also includes replacing tank pressure relief valves, and all related work. Clarifiers can only be out of service between May 1, 2022 and August 15, 2022. Only one clarifier may be out of service at a time. Tank Information 1. This specification covers work to be performed on two identical clarifiers. Each clarifier has an estimated diameter of 56 ft. measuring from the exterior of the trough wall. The clarifiers are located at the wastewater treatment plant at 531 River St. in Big Rapids, Michigan.
