BCCDC may be requiring Contractors in the future to process the backlog of observation data that is kept in its files. The observations are to be processed into Element Occurrences (EOs) using BC CDC/NatureServe standards and software. The purpose of this Request for Qualifications is to qualify Consultants in the following Service Areas: . Botany Element Occurrence creation work . Zoology Element Occurrence creation work . Ecology Element Occurrence creation work Based on the review of the RFQ Responses the Province intends to establish a List of Qualified Suppliers who, on an "as, if and when requested" basis, may be contacted directly, or asked to compete, to enter into one or more contract(s) for provision of the services described in section 4. The Province will use two tiers in its List of Qualified Suppliers. Since the work involves the use of BC CDC's in house software, and experience in using this software may be limited to a small number of people, those who do not have prior experience but qualify otherwise to do this work will be considered for smaller contracts. This will allow them to learn the software and be considered for larger contracts. Suppliers currently qualified under any of the following Request for Qualifications need not apply again: .
