Site work and paving for a civil project in Chartiers Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

The project includes, but is not limited to, removal and replacement of existing corrugated metal storm sewer pipe; clearing and grubbing; traffic control; resident notification; installation, maintenance and removal of erosion and sedimentation control measures; existing lateral re-connection; bypass pumping; trash rack installation; existing site feature and utility protection; removal and replacement of existing aggregate driveway; bituminous trench restoration; full depth bituminous roadway replacement; removal and replacement of existing fence; and miscellaneous site restoration, complete in place. An additional charge of ten ($10.00) dollars will be required to mail Contract Documents to prospective bidders. No refund will be made for the return of any documents. Electronic copies of the Contract Documents will be made available to Bidders at no charge upon request. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage rates are required to be paid on this Project. Contractors who intend to bid MUST attend for their Bid to be considered as responsive. The Township reserves the right to cancel this meeting at any time based on current government guidelines regarding the COVID-19 situation. Alternate meeting arrangements will be issued in the event of a cancellation. Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided by Chartiers Township. Proposals must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidder's Bond from a Surety Company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of Chartiers Township in an amount equal to ten (10%) percent of the total amount of the Proposal as a guarantee that, if the Proposal is accepted, the successful Bidder will enter into an Agreement within fifteen (15) days after Notice of the Award of the Contract. The Proposals must be made to Chartiers Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, and shall remain firm for a period of sixty (60) days. No Bidder may withdraw his Proposal during the sixty (60) day period without forfeiting his Bid guarantee. Bidders are advised that the Township will award the contract to the lowest qualified, responsible, and responsive Bidder based on the total Base Bid submitted. However, the Bidder is advised that the Township expressly reserves the right to reject all Bids, and specifically reserves the right to award to the lowest qualified, responsible and responsive Bidder for the type of work being considered a contract for all or any portions of the work listed in the Proposal, and in awarding a contract for less than the total work listed, or less than all portions of the work listed, the contract price will be determined from the total quantities for each item listed and the unit price bid for each item listed. Performance, Maintenance, and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, along with Public Liability and Property Damage Certificates of Insurance in the amounts specified, as well as Certificates of Workman's Compensation must be filed with the executed Agreement upon acceptance of the Proposal from the successful Bidder. Chartiers Township reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, or any part thereof, for any reason, and reserves the right to waive any informality therein.
