The Hurley School District will accept a proposal for a threeyear contract for lawn care services 1. Mowing of all lawn currently being cut on the Hurley K-12 school grounds, including the Cross Country Trail and Veterans Memorial Field. 2. Hand trimming is required around all trees, sign posts, fence posts, ball field fences, and areas too steep to be mowed safely with a conventional mower. 3. Mower decks are to be set so lawn is cut no shorter than 3 inches. Mowing and trimming frequency, especially in regard to Memorial Field, will be determined by the Grounds/Maintenance Supervisor. Contractor shall be prepared to respond in 24 hours of notification. Failure to respond will be grounds for termination of contract. 4. Mowing is to be done on an as-needed basis, with prior approval from the Grounds/ Maintenance Supervisor. 5. Clippings are to be dispersed evenly over the lawn area, and not discharged over roadways, parking lots and sidewalks. Any clippings discharged as clumps must be picked up or a second mowing is required to disburse them. 6. The contractor is required to provide all equipment, fuel and other items necessary to perform this service. A performance bond will be required. The contract will be for three years covering 2022-2025. The contractor should expect to provide service between May 1 and October 31 of each year.
