As of July 14, 2023, a consultant has been awarded. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: High level engineering estimates for construction costs are 40 to 50 million for expansion and 25 to 55 million additional if advanced treatment is included The Piedmont Triad Regional Water Authority ("PTRWA") is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from consulting engineering firms experienced with emerging contaminant treatment (specifically 1,4 Dioxane and PFAS), membrane filtration of surface water and conventional and advanced surface water treatment plant design of plants in excess of 10 MGD. The engineering firm will provide a comprehensive Basis of Design Report for the expansion and improvements to the existing 14.7 MGD Surface Water Treatment Plant.
