As of May 16, 2022, all bids have been rejected. Plans for a rebid have not been established at this time. The work under this contract includes the furnishing of all labor, material and equipment necessary or required to complete all work set forth in the contract documents. The Base Bid includes excavation of 6 existing Little League size Base/Softball Field infield mix and/or turfgrass soil; replacement of excavated materials to re-establish functional infields for four fields; replacement with topsoil and seed to eliminate two fields; removal and reconstruction of all ballfield fencing and appurtenances; installation of new appurtenances for the four re-established fields. Quantities include but are not limited to approximately: 1,525 cubic yards of excavation; 1,170 cubic yards of infield mix fill; 3,650 square yards of topsoil at 6" deep; 6,000 square yards of seeding; 10,000 square yards of over-seeding; 2,200 linear feet of new chain link fence; 600 linear feet of split rail fence; 8 new players benches and shelters; 4 new fence backstops; and bases for four fields. A bid deposit in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond made payable to the Township of West Windsor in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, but not to exceed $20,000.00, must accompany each proposal as a security, which may be forfeited and retained by the Township in lieu of its other legal remedies, if a successful bidder's proposal isaccepted by the Township and he shall fail to execute and return to the Township the required contract and/or bonds within ten (10) days after delivery of the prepared contract and/or bond form to him by the Township. The Township Council reserves the right to reject all proposals in whole or in part or to waive minor informalities as may be permitted by law. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, C. 127 and N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27.
