Site work and paving for a road / highway in Griffin, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Spalding County is accepting sealed bids from qualified firms, meaning a Prequalified Prime Contractor listed by the Georgia Department of Transportation, Office of Contract Administration, to provide materials, equipment, labor, and services necessary (including traffic control) for paving, resurfacing and striping work on various roadways in Spalding County for a TSPLOST Resurfacing Phase I Project. All work shall be done in accordance with Georgia Department of Transportation's (GDOT) Standard Drawings and Standard Specifications for the construction and completion of the work required. The approximate extent and character of the Work is generally described as follows: Asphalt overlay and striping of approximately 22.98 miles of roadway in various locations throughout Spalding County. The project will also include patching and leveling where required. Questions should be directed in writing to the Spalding County Purchasing Department, Terri Bass, via email to: tbass@spaldingcounty.com. A Bid Bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid must accompany each bid submitted. A one hundred ten percent (110%) Performance Bond and a one hundred ten percent (110%) Payment Bond shall be furnished to Spalding County by the bidder specified on the Notice of Intent to Award.
