The project consists of invasive species management on District-owned parcels at the Kinnickinnic River, between 6th Street and I-94 and along Edgerton Channel. The Contractor will use vegetation management techniques, including hand pulling and digging, herbicide application (foliar and cut stump), and mechanical and hand mowing for the fourth year (Kinnickinnic River only, first year for Edgerton Channel) of management with fieldwork extending from April 2022 through February 2023. Contractor will assist in updating the project GIS maps to reflect changes made during the 2022 - 2023 management season. The total project area is approximately 6.8 acres. The District has prequalified the following native landscape management contractors through the Request for Qualification, RFQ TS-2689, issued June 2021, to perform invasive species management. The District has prequalified the following native landscape management contractors through the Request for Qualification, RFQ TS-2689, issued June 2021, to perform invasive species management: 1) Resource Environmental Solutions, LLC 2) GEI Consultants, Inc. 3) Marek Landscaping, LLC 4) Cardno, Inc. 5) Nature Systems Inc. (conditionally approved, cannot bid on work that requires prescribed burning).
