Howard County intends to procure the services of a construction firm to construct improvements at Troy Park in Elkridge, between Field 1 and the existing parking lot. Improvements will include: removal of existing asphalt walkway, installation of storm drains and grading the area as shown on the contract drawings, construction of a restroom/storage building, construction of a retaining wall and stairs from the sidewalk to the field level, paving, stabilization and landscaping as shown on the contract drawings A new comfort station building consisting of toilet rooms and a storage space. Two structural systems are used consisting of steel columns with glu-laminated beam roof framing or steel beam roof framing. The exterior envelope includes masonry veneer (below) and metal wall panels (above) over insulation on concrete masonry units. The roof is constructed out of standing seam metal on insulation and wood decking over glu-laminated beam roof framing or steel decking over steel beam roof framing. The building includes unit heaters and provides basic power and lighting. 3. Miscellaneous site work consists of: a. Concrete sidewalks for access from the existing parking lot to the new structure and bleachers, b. Various concrete and paver plazas associated with the proposed structures c. Water and sewer service connections including water fountain, connections to infrastructure contracted under the Site Contract d. Storms drainage systems e. Landscaping f. Furniture and accessories including benches and trash receptacles The Phase II construction of Troy Park is bounded by I-95 to the west, route 100 to the south, route 1 to the east, and the Troy Hill Commerce Center to the north.
